We are pleased to learn of your interest in the music department at Black Hawk College (BHC). In order to assist you with your college planning, we would like to give you important information regarding Black Hawk College and our excellent music program.
BHC’s music department has an active, friendly music program. We offer quality instruction, personalized attention (small class sizes), and a genuine concern for our students. Both music majors and non-majors populate our groups and classes, so you should consider becoming involved in music at Black Hawk College.
The college is proud of its modern music facilities in Building 4. A 14-station computer lab, complete with digital keyboards and IBM-compatible computers with MIDI capability, is a great feature of this facility. ProTools, M-Boxes, Cakewalk/Sonar, Practica Musica, and Finale are the primary software used in the MIDI Music Lab. Our music department also contains a small recording/mixing studio, six large practice rooms, a music classroom, and a multi-purpose rehearsal room.
