Black Hawk College serves Illinois Community College District 503 including all or part of nine counties in western Illinois. Operated as one college with two campuses and several outreach sites, Black Hawk College offers both career and transfer programs. The college also offers a wide range of special purpose and community outreach programs. The college competes with private and public colleges and universities and Fortune 500 businesses for the most talented employees in the area. We conduct salary surveys on a regular basis to make sure compensation is competitive and fair to our employees, students and the citizens of our district.

Public Act 096-0266 requires the board of trustees of the 48 Illinois community colleges to report on or before July 1 of each year the base salary and benefits of the president or chief executive officer and all administrators, faculty members, and instructors employed by the college.
