East Campus men wrap up final season 26-7

Congratulations to the East Campus Warriors men’s basketball team for a stellar 26-7 season!

The Warriors closed out their final season with a 59-47 loss to Division II’s #1-ranked Triton College on Saturday, March 5.

By winning the NJCAA Region IV, Division II, District 3 Championship game, Triton advances to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament March 15-19 in Danville, Ill.

East Campus men advance to championship – 2/29/2016

Congratulations to the East Campus Warriors men’s basketball team!

On Sunday, Feb. 28, the men’s team beat Moraine Valley 82-76 in the Region IV, Division II, District 3 semi-finals.

The Warriors (26-6, ranked 14th nationally) next will play Division II’s #1-ranked Triton (30-2) in the district championship game at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 5 at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove.

The winner will advance to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament March 15-19 in Danville, Ill.

The East Campus women lost to South Suburban 61-60 in the Region IV, Division II, District L semi-finals on Saturday, Feb. 27. The women finished their season 23-9.

Black Hawk College basketball teams played quarterfinal tournament games Thursday, Feb. 25.

Region IV Women’s Basketball – Division II (District L) Tournament

  • East Campus vs. Oakton – Won 76-39. Moving on to semi-final game vs. South Suburban at noon Saturday, Feb. 27 at Waubonsee Community College, Sugar Grove.
  • QC Campus vs. Moraine Valley – Lost 72-80

Region IV Men’s Basketball – Division II (District 3) Tournament

  • East Campus vs. Prairie State – Won 74-49. Moving on to semi-final game vs. Moraine Valley at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28 at Waubonsee Community College, Sugar Grove.

  • QC Campus vs. Morton – Lost 74-86
