Quad City’s Vintage Rods car club recently donated $3,500 to the Black Hawk College QC Foundation to support student scholarships.

Since 1984, Quad City’s Vintage Rods car club has given more than $70,000 to the Black Hawk College Foundation and has donated to the college for more consecutive years than any other organization.

The donations are generated by gate admissions to the group’s annual car show held every fall at the college’s Quad-Cities Campus.

The 44th Quad City’s Vintage Rods Annual Car Show was Sept. 27, 2015, and attracted more than 450 registered antique cars, hot rods, street rods and special interest vehicles.

The donation supports the Vintage Rods scholarship, which is available to Quad-Cities Campus students with excellent academic performance. Two students received a scholarship in Fall 2015, four students received a scholarship in Fall 2014, and four students received a scholarship in Fall 2013.
