Model T, Camaro win awards at QC Campus car show

QC Vintage Rods Car Show President's Choice winner 9-2015Thomas McClure of Taylor Ridge and his red 1923 Model T won the President’s Choice Award at the Sept. 27 Quad City’s Vintage Rods 44th Annual Car Show at Black Hawk College.

Jessica Malcheff, executive director of the Black Hawk College QC Foundation, and her son presented the award.

Bruce Houzenga of Bettendorf and his 1969 Camaro won the Police Choice Award. Pictured with him are Officer Joel Keim and Officer Tony Maxison of the BHC Police Department.

The show brought 475 vintage vehicles to the college’s Quad-Cities Campus in Moline.

QC Vintage Rods Car Show Police Choice winner 9-2015Gate admissions from the show go to the Quad City’s Vintage Rods scholarship through the BHC QC Foundation. Since 1984, the rods club has given more than $66,500 to the BHC QC Foundation.
