Black Hawk College is proud to announce that its recent quality checkup by the Higher Learning Commission resulted in the reaffirmation status of Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
Higher Learning Commission (HLC) peer reviewers visited the college Oct. 22-24, 2013, for a quality checkup. The peer reviewers met faculty, staff, students and community members at the East Campus near Kewanee and the Quad-Cities Campus in Moline to discuss quality initiatives at the college.
“We are very pleased with the outcomes report of the recent HLC evaluation process for our institution. It provides us with valuable insight into our level of service delivery and our own internal measurement system to ensure that we are meeting established expectations,” said David Emerick, chair of the Black Hawk College Board of Trustees.
“Our team had done a terrific job gathering the necessary data in preparation for the site visit, and I thank all those involved in attending the breakout sessions and focus groups where so much valuable information was gained,” he said.
“Moving forward, we will become a stronger, even better institution of supportive learning.”
