Quad-City area college and high school students are invited to participate in four exciting days of environmental education and stewardship during this year’s Q.C. Alternative Spring Break!
Events will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. March 13-16 with lunch provided each day. Advance registration is required and space is limited, so sign up soon!
The schedule of events is listed below. Students can choose to participate in all four activities, just come for one day, or anything in between. The cost is just $2 per activity or $5 for the whole week.
• Tuesday, March 13 – Water quality introduction and riverside cleanup at Big Island.
• Wednesday, March 14 – Invasive species introduction and removal at Nahant Marsh.
• Thursday, March 15 – Volunteer with Living Lands and Waters Million Trees Project at the QCCA Expo Center in Rock Island.
• Friday, March 16 – Guided nature hike at Loud Thunder Forest Preserve in Andalusia.
