We have partnered with the Midwest Writing Center to offer you a chance to enhance your skills with an online course!
This workshop is for the novice to intermediate creative writer of any genre who desires to strengthen a fundamental foundation for his or her writing practice. Elements of voice and style, precision and technique, and research, along with customizing a personal writing environment, will be explored. The online workshop is a four-week, facilitated course with one hour of live discussion each week. The day/time of the live discussion is determined with the workshop participants during the first week of the course. Please note that the online workshop has the following system requirements: Email access and broadband internet access with one of the supported browsers (Internet Explorer v. 6.0 and above; Netscape 7.1 and above; Mozilla 1.3 and above; and Firefox 1.0 and above.) Meet the Publisher – Get Your Manuscript Critiqued

Have you ever wanted to talk to a real publisher? Are you tired of having your manuscripts critiqued by non-professionals? Bring your in-progress manuscript for a class critique. Learn about the pros and cons of traditional publishing and self publishing options. You can then leave a copy of your manuscript (for an optional materials fee of $50 for up to 25 double-spaced pages + $1/page thereafter) and a list of publishers and/or agents who are interested in your type of work. A required $10 materials fee is payable to the instructor.
