Science Fest

beakersYou and your students are cordially invited to our second annual Science Fest.  The day of science fun and learning will be held at Black Hawk College, East Campus on Friday, March 23.  The emphasis of activities will be placed on the physical sciences and is designed for upperclassmen enrolled in chemistry and physics.  We hope you and your students can attend!   The schedule for the day is as follows:
8:30-9:00  Breakfast & Registration
9:00-10:00  Welcome & Session One
-Astounding, amazing, and EXPLOSIVE demonstrations!
10:05-11:00 Session Two
 -  Explore the Physics of Flight
 - Discover why Matter Matters
 - Analyze a Crime Scene with Forensic Science
 11:05-12:00 Session Three
 - Explore the Physics of Flight
 - Discover why Matter Matters
 - Analyze a Crime Scene with Forensic Science
12:00-12:30 Lunch
12:30-1:20  Session Four
 - Explore the Physics of Flight
 - Discover why Matter Matters
 - Analyze a Crime Scene with Forensic Science
1:25-1:45 Wrap-Up
 - Explore science programs at Black Hawk College

 

Mini-lectures and hands-on activities will be included in Sessions Two, Three, and Four.  Every student will receive a free t-shirt.  Teachers will receive a complimentary goody bag.In order to plan accordingly, please tell us how many students you are bringing by March 2.
