To celebrate Veterans Day, students at the Quad-Cities Campus put together 25 care packages to send to troops serving overseas.
The care packages included snacks, cereal, drink mixes, soup mixes, gum, Black Hawk College T-shirts, tissues, hand sanitizer, lip balm and other toiletries.
The project was sponsored by the Student Life Office and the Military Students and Veterans Club.
Black Hawk College was named a Military Friendly School for 2011 and 2012 by G.I. Jobs magazine.
