As Vice Chair of the Black Hawk College Board of Trustees, it is my pleasure to convey the latest steps taken by the college community in its journey toward the selection of a new president for the institution.
The Presidential Search Committee has been established and will have its first meeting on the Quad-Cities Campus on April 28, 2011, at 7:30 am. The Chair of the Presidential Search Committee will be named at the meeting of the Board of Trustees on April 26, 2011. The members of the Presidential Search Committee are listed below.
We now begin the process of developing the Presidential Profile. As a significant step in that process, two open Focus Groups will be held on April 27, 2011, at which all members of the College community and our service area communities are invited to participate in a free and wide-ranging discussion about the Presidential Profile. I want to encourage all who are able to attend these important Focus Groups. I also want to encourage those who cannot attend to feel free to contact our ACCT contact, John Steinecke, 202-775-4468, jsteinecke@acct.org, and share with him your thoughts about what information should be included in the profile.
The schedule of the Focus Groups is as follows:
Wednesday, April 27, 2011
12:00 – 1:00 pm
East Campus, Room B-201
2:30 – 3:30 pm
Quad-Cities Campus, Conference Rooms 1 & 2, Building 4
Additional Progress Reports will follow to update the College community as we continue on our journey toward the selection of our new president.
Thank you,
Evelyn Phillips
Vice Chair, Black Hawk College Board of Trustees
