Access 2010 Level 1

Prerequisite: Basic Windows and data entry skills and an understanding of what a database is (queries/forms/reports).
From the beginning you will learn to create tables, the foundation of your database. By the end of this one-day class, you will be able to create simple queries to analyze the data from your tables, make forms for data entry and create reports. If you have used an Access database created by someone else, but now you need to make changes to the existing database, or create your own database, this is the course for you. Specific skills to be covered include: creating tables, editing and modifying tables, setting field properties, finding and filtering data, creating relationships, using simple queries, creating basic forms and reports and printing data.

In just one day, learn to make your data work for you. Take this class to learn to make more sophisticated queries, forms and reports. Whether modifying an existing database or creating your own, this is the class for learning how to customize it to get exactly what you want. Specific skills to be covered include: creating action queries, manipulating controls, using design view, using editing tools, sub forms and creating a PivotTable.

Access 2010 Level 3

Prerequisite: Access Level 2 skills.
Don’t miss this class that pulls everything together. You have made the tables, queries, forms and reports, now automate them and learn tricks to make them work better. This class shows all the things Access has to offer to someone who has Level 1 and 2 skills. It also includes time for questions about your own database. Specific topics to be covered include: analyzing tables, exporting data to Excel and Word, using advanced query wizards, using charts, working with ActiveX controls and indexes, replicating databases, using Access and the Internet, creating and using macros and switchboards.

Google Docs for Teachers

This class introduces teachers to the world of Google Docs, an online word processor, spreadsheet and presentation editor that allows you and your students to create, store, share, and collaborate on documents. You can use Google Docs to provide feedback to your students, follow their work on assignments, collaborate with your colleagues on shared materials, and publish handouts and presentations online for your students and their parents. Google Docs will help you and your students stay organized!
